I love this model, it is my #1 favorite. The only thing I think may be true is that it was produced during a period when Rolex would ship watches with slightly different cyclops magnification power. No consistent documented pattern that I saw (maybe someone else knows), but doesn't raise a red flag by itself AFAIK while you're looking. I realized I wanted to start wearing a Rolex everyday but only had two two tones (36mm datejust & 40mm Sub-date) and I’m not one to wear a two tone that often.
