It's my understanding this bag is to replace the recently discontinued Bloomsbury. While I love the look of Bloomsbury, it didn't work for me because of the wide bottom. It was simply too big for my frame and . The strap on the Bloomsbury is 43" at the longest setting. I wear it at the third longest hole which is about 40". I'm 5'6" and long waisted. Worn cross-body, it hits me at the hip, which is where I want it to be. Maybe someone with a South Beach can measure the strap for comparison. Yes, I’ll measure my strap tonight. Yes I got the PM version because I love the South Bank Besace (one of my favorite bags!) I love having a front slip pocket. Normally I don’t like accessories (I took the tassel of the SBB) but I actually like the tag! i got the black because it’s easier to keep clean. I plan to wear it crossbody rather than on the shoulder. How ever the new one is also pretty. Am now having a look at graceful mm. Does it makes sense to have both of these bags? Right now my LV collection is LV Artsy MM in Monogram, Favorite MM in Mnogram PM in monogram, South bank besace, Siena MM LV Neo noe in Monogram and red interior. I purchased the South Bank Besace a couple of months ago. Is it normal for the red leather on the underside of the strap to wrinkle? I know the leather is super soft and I've barely used it so I'm not sure. To store it, I tuck the strap in the bag with the zipper fully unzipped and have it in the dustbag the whole time.
